Starting February, one can feel the love in the air. And as soon as the Valentine’s Day starts inching closer, the eternal quest of “What do you want to do?” begins. Let us be of some help here and put this pursuit to rest. Here are some things that you can do this Valentine’s Day with your partner and not spend the entire day just deciding what to do. The list is inclusive of people who like to go out, stay in, dress up or just laze around in your PJs!
Since Valentine’s this time around falls perfectly on a Friday, you can take an off on the day, and whisk your partner away for a nice weekend getaway. Take a bus or your car, a baggie full of snacks and goodies and you’re good to go! You can go away to quiet places around town, go camping or even book a hotel in your own town! The basic idea is for you and your partner to just be away from your everyday, away from the mundane, and be with each other to spend some good time together, without all those annoying interruptions that aren’t so good with timing.
If you just want to relax with your partner in a quiet place and not do anything over the top, then a spa is what you need! Book a couple’s spa session and spend your day being chill and relaxed with your partner. Just being with your person, quietly for a couple of hours and then maybe going back home and taking a nap together! Tempting, isn’t it? Booking a spa well in advance will be a smart move, though, because almost everybody wants to just relax these days, and Valentine’s would be packed for spas!
For the movie buffs who swoon over all those romantic movies, or even the ones who just live for movies, do you think that there’s a better idea for Valentine’s? Imagine yourself and your partner, lounging around in your PJs, with lots of popcorn and cuddles, watching a list of your favorite movies, back to back. It could be the rom-com that makes you cry, K-Jo dramas, some serious sci-fi or even thrillers – all kinds of movies till you enjoy them together. And if you want to be a little more cutesy, you could get a projector, set up a nice comfy corner in your balcony or on your terrace, get lots of snacks and a nice cozy blanket, and you’re good to go!
One for those who want to celebrate V-Day with their partner as well as friends! Not a big, mushy romantic, but still want to do something on the day? Then a karaoke night is where it is at. Rent a karaoke set, use YouTube or even just your phone, and you are set. You’re bound to have a ball of a time making memories and singing along to songs that are fun – where you obviously start from hep English numbers but end up singing cheesy ol’ Bollywood romantic numbers for most of the night, but that is the most fun thing anyway!
Now if you are the activities kind of a couple, then there’s nothing more romantic than cooking together. It is an entire process, which brings you together, is fun, makes you feel like adults and in the end when you have the food ready, it seems tastier than anything else in this entire universe! And if you manage to mess it all up, then you can always order in some pizza, and you get a great story of a failed valentine’s experiment for the rest of your life! It is even more fun to make your own variation of some recipe that you’re trying to follow, because then it is for just the two of you, and come on, that is super cute!
