The early morning rains made the mausam in Indore awesome on Tuesday. The sweltering heat waves suddenly turned into the cool breeze and the weather became pleasant following a drop of temperature by a good 10 degrees.
On Tuesday, Indore’s maximum temperature dropped to 29.8 degrees Celsius, 10 degrees below normal. Similarly, the minimum temperature was recorded at 20.04 degrees, which was 5 degrees below normal.
Now iss Garmi mein thandi ka ehsaas is all because of Cyclone Nisarga, which is expected to hit Mumbai any moment. And the impact of the cyclone is expected to be felt in Indore too, which is about 580 kms from Mumbai. Meteorologists say heavy rainfall is expected in Indore and other areas in western Madhya Pradesh.
According to experts, on Wednesday morning Cyclone Nisarga will turn north into a severe cyclonic storm with wind blowing at a speed of 100 km per hour, and will hit the coast of northern Maharashtra (between Raigad, Mumbai to Maharashtra) between 2.30 pm and 3 pm. By evening it will enter Indore and other parts of West Madhya Pradesh via Barwani and Khargone district.
Due to the storm, there will be heavy rains in Indore, Hoshangabad, and Ujjain divisions on Wednesday evening and will continue till Thursday. Cyclone Nisarga will enter Indore with a speed of 50 to 60 km per hour.
