After buying two properties on the second floor of GiGi apartments inside the Silver Beach Estate in Juhu from none other than actor couple Anupam Kher and Kirron Kher in 2015, Gangubai Kathiawadi actress Alia Bhai has bought her third flat in the building.
According to a Mumbai-based realty news portal, the property was registered with the sub registrar’s office in Andheri on January 9, 2020. Alia Bhatt got the first-floor property registered in the name of Eternal Sunshine Productions Pvt. Ltd., of which she is the director.
Interestingly, Alia Bhatt paid Rs 13.11 crore for the 2,300 sq.ft. apartment, whereas the ready reckoner rate of the apartment is Rs 7.86 crore. Ready reckoner rate is the price decided by the state government annually for properties across the state, based on which it collected stamp duty.
However, if the property purchased is at a higher rate than that of the ready reckoner it collects stamp duty according to the higher rate. Hence, Alia Bhatt ended up paying a stamp duty of Rs 65.55 lakh for her latest purchase.
Earlier, in 2015, Alia Bhatt has purchased two flats from the Khers for Rs 5.16 crore and Rs 3.83 crore respectively. Those flats too were bought by her for away above the ready reckoner rate.

Speaking to the portal, a local property dealer, said, “There’s a premium attached to such properties, as most of the inhabitants are themselves celebrities. Also, the apartment that she has bought is like private property – it has an exclusive entry. That’s the reason, celebs spend that extra amount.”
With the flat with exclusive entry, Alia has got two open car parking slots to park her mean machines.
